The newest version of Firefox (Firefox Quantum; version 57) has been available since 14th November 2017 – if your Firefox browser was set to update automatically, you may be running version 57 right now (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/find-what-version-firefox-you-are-using).

Currently there is an issue on Firefox version 57 which prevents access to the KerryESG Global Fulfillment app via the Apps menu redirect within Shopify stores. This means if you click on the KerryESG app icon within your store Apps menu (https://yourstorename.myshopify.com/admin/apps), the browser will give you an “Unable to connect” error message.

While we anticipate to resolve this issue next week, please choose one of the following solutions in the meantime.

Solutions

  • Use another browser that is installed on your computer
  • if there is another browser installed on your computer that you can use, try using that browser for the time being. Chrome can be used without this issue.
  • Use direct URL app links to access the KerryESG Global Fulfillment app
  • if you want to continue using Firefox version 57, to use this option you will need to:
  • First access your Shopify store and login as normal
  • Secondly open and use a new browser tab to open http://fulfillmentapp.eservicesgroup.com
  • Lastly enter your Shopify store URL and click “Log in”

Clicking on “Log in” will access the app data for the latest Shopify store that you have logged into.

  • Roll back and use Firefox version 56
  • if you want to avoid the steps above needed to use Firefox version 57, and/or continue making use of the simple redirects to the app from within your Shopify store, you can roll back to Firefox version 56.
  • Instructions on how to roll back to Firefox version 56 can be found here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox
  • Remember to disable automatic updates so that your Firefox isn’t automatically updated to version 57.
  • Install and use an alternative browser
  • if you currently only have Firefox installed on your computer and do not wish to roll back to Firefox version 56, try installing an alternative browser like Chrome
